U-Drive are hiring! We're looking for a laser-focussed and detail-orientated Payroll Administrator, responsible for overseeing the payroll operations in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within the business. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £24,500, which pro-rates to £15,314.
Work Schedule 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm.
About the Role
As a Payroll Administrator at U-Drive you will be responsible for overseeing the payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Validating employees' worked hours for accuracy
- Inputting payroll information into the company's software system
- Computing salary adjustments and shift-related payments
- Managing the processing of holiday, sick, and maternity pay
- Issuing essential tax forms, including P45s
- Ensuring adherence to compliant policies and procedures
- Addressing employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll
- Managing deductions for tax and national insurance payments
- Enrolling new hires in the Pension Scheme through Auto Enrolment and overseeing payment deductions
- Verifying, processing and on/off-boarding both new starters and leavers
- Issuing and acting as the point of contact for all reference checks on new starters
Requirements
About You
Candidate will be able to display the following skills and attributes:
- You will have meticulous attention to detail
- You will be proficient with commonly used payroll software
- You’ll demonstrate strong mathematical and organisational skills
- You will have the capacity to work independently to a high standard
- You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- You will demonstrate sensitivity and understanding in dealing with confidential information
- You will show proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ideally, you’ll hold qualifications such as a Level 1 Certificate in Payroll, Level 1 or 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping, an advanced apprenticeship as a Payroll Administrator
- Equivalent relevant experience, including 5 GCSEs with grades 9 to 4, with Maths and English will also be considered
